09/03/2015: €5,846 sanctioned by Minister of State McHugh for Muintearas Teo., Leitir Mór

Minister of State for Gaeltacht Affairs, Joe McHugh T.D., has announced that he has sanctioned a grant of €5,846 for Muintearas Teo, Tír an Fhia, Leitir Mór, Co. Galway to assist them in purchasing supplies of Irish-language novels and providing them to national schools in the Conamara Gaeltacht.

The Minister of State said that he hopes this grant will help Muintearas with their efforts to keep the Irish language to the fore in the schools concerned and that it will encourage pupils in the area to read Irish-language material.
