Minister of State McHugh sanctions grant of up to €43,620 for Coiste Aosach Cheantar na nOileán, Co. Galway to purchase a minibus
Joe McHugh T.D., Government Chief Whip and Minister of State for the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands announced today (Monday) that he has sanctioned a grant of up to €43,620 for Coiste Aosach Cheantar na nOileán, Co Galway to help them with the purchase of a minibus.
Announcing the grant, the Minister of State said that he was very pleased to provide this grant. “This grant is recognition of the valuable work being done by Coiste Aosach na nOileán on behalf of elderly people in the Islands Region. As a result of the grant, the committee will be better able to serve the ageing community in the area and help them to live independently.”
This grant is being sanctioned under the Gaeltacht action of the 20-Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030.
