Language Planning Guidelines

The Department has published Language Planning Guidelines (3rd edition), which provide guidance on the language planning process to be undertaken in Gaeltacht Language Planning Areas, Gaeltacht Service Towns and Irish Language Networks.

The third edition includes a more comprehensive model language plan as well as details on the Geographical Information System (GIS) developed to further support the implementation of the language planning process.
