Built Heritage Policy

The Section works to improve the protection of our built heritage through involvement with legislative, policy and guidance developments made by the Department and other departments, public authorities and other organisations. It includes a wide range of activities, such as making observations on draft statutory instruments, reviews of legislation and policy, co-ordination with other departments and local authorities on their work, and representation on committees which have protection of the built heritage as an objective.
