Permanent Post of Rural General Operative (Band 2 and Band 3) Ballycroy National Park
The National Parks and Wildlife Service of the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs is looking for applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacancies in Ballycroy National Park:
- permanent post of Rural General Operative (Band 2)
- permanent post of Rural General Operative (Band 3)
These posts are based at Ballycroy National Park, Ballycroy, Co. Mayo. Staff will be required to work 39 hours per week, rostered five days over seven, which may include weekends and bank holidays.
The salary of a Rural General Operative (Band 2) starts from €540.55 per week before tax. The salary of a Rural General Operative (Band 3) starts from € €501.48. The rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. A different rate will apply where the appointee is a civil or public servant recruited before the 6th April, 1995, and who is not required to make a Personal Pension Contribution.
Experience relevant to the above post, including a full, clean category B driving licence, general maintenance work and the use of machinery is essential.
Appointees will be chosen by competitive interview. A panel of suitable candidates may also be formed should any additional vacancies arise in the foreseeable future.
