Information Officer/Guide, Glenveagh National Park
The Department of Arts, Heritage Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to form panels from which current/future vacancies in the above position may be filled. These are temporary posts based at Glenveagh National Park.
Duties will include giving guided interpreted tours of Glenveagh Castle, conducting history tours in the Castle garden area and local site tours, handling tour bookings, reception duties, providing sales assistance and administration duties as required.
Staff will be required to work 39 hours per week, rostered five days over seven which may include weekends and bank holidays.
The salary of a Guide/Information Officer starts at €419.29 per week before tax. The rates of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy.
The appointees will be chosen by competitive interview. A panel of suitable candidates may also be formed should any additional vacancies arise in the foreseeable future.
