02/11/2011 Department’s Implementation Plan for 2011 with regard to the 20-Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030

Minister of State in the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Dinny McGinley T.D., welcomed the publication of his Department’s implementation plan for 2011 with regard to the 20-Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030, which was published today (2/11/11).The Minister of State said: “This implementation plan sets out the main activities which my Department is prioritising during this year in order to begin the process of implementing the Strategy. This implementation plan is a live document which is updated on a regular basis.”

“In addition to this plan which is being published today, my Department has prepared a draft 3-year implementation plan 2012-2014 with regard to the Strategy. Since there are many key stakeholders involved in the Strategy, my Department will be consulting with the principal key stakeholders before the 3-year plan is published,” said the Minister of State.

The implementation plan for 2011 is published on the Department’s website www.ahg.gov.ie.
