Approval of Funding under the Rural Development Programme

 8 June 2011

Minister of State Dinny McGinley T.D. today (Wednesday 8th June, 2011) welcomed the approval of €244,000 under the Rural Development Programme 2007-2013 for Donegal Local Development Company Ltd to support Crossroads and Killygordon Enterprises Ltd.

“This project will assist in extending the existing community resource building to allow for the development of a multi-purpose community training and services area. This organisation is providing wonderful services to the local community, and I wish them every success in this new venture” said Dinny Mc Ginley TD

Projects funded through LEADER partnerships are varied and include diversification into non-agricultural activities, support for business creation, encouragement of tourism activities, basic services for the economy and rural population, village renewal and development, conservation and upgrading of rural heritage and training and information.
