11 June 2013—The Minister of State at the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Dinny McGinley T.D., has announced that his Department has signed a heavy cargo contract for the island of Toraigh with Comharchumann Thoraí Teo. for the period 1st May 2013 to 31st April 2014.
The same level of service provided under the former contract will be continued, that is, 26 crossings per annum between Toraigh and the mainland in Co. Donegal.
