12/07/2012 Deenihan welcomes start of free bus service for Burren National Park visitors

Thursday, July 12th – Jimmy Deenihan TD, Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht has warmly welcomed the commencement of a new seasonal bus service – on a pilot basis – which will transport visitors free of charge between the information point in Corofin and the Burren National Park.

The free pilot bus service will operate from the Information Point in Corofin through the National Park. The bus will run from 10.15 am to 6pm during July and August and will provide access to various sections of the National Park. The service will run for 7 days a week.

Minister Deenihan said:

“I signalled this development when I opened the new Information Point for the Burren National Park in Corofin, Co. Clare, last May.

“I am very pleased to see this service now commence. The Burren National Park is a place of national and international importance, and I hope that this new service adds to visitor numbers and enhances the experience for all visitors to the park.”
