19/04/2012 Donegal International Motor Rally receives funding of €15,000

Dinny McGinley TD Minister of State for the Gaeltacht has today (Thursday 19th April, 2012) welcomed the announcement by his colleague Michael Ring TD Minister of State for Tourism and Sport of an allocation of €15,000 towards the Donegal International Motor Rally.
In welcoming this announcement Minister McGinley said “the Donegal International Motor Rally which takes place over three days using the roads across the County of Donegal attracts over 200 entries from within the island of Ireland and overseas entries from England, Wales and Scotland. Local tourism providers benefit hugely from the significant influx of visitors to the area. From participants to supporters – all round –  it is a wonderful festival which year on year continues to grow and develop a wider support base.  Safety of course is paramount and this allocation of €15,000 will no doubt contribute to maximising the safety measures to ensure everybody has an enjoyable and safe experience while in Donegal”.

The Donegal International Motor Rally will take place the week-end of 15th – 17th June 2012.
