24/06/2014 Fun Family Weekend at Gleanveagh National Park
A fun family weekend will take place this coming weekend at Glenveagh National Park. A series of events will take place on Saturday, Sunday and Monday with advance booking required in some instances.
Speaking in advance of the weekend, Minister of State at the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Dinny McGinley, T.D., said:
“Our national parks are a unique part of our heritage and it is important that we preserve them for future generations, as the staff of the National Parks and Wildlife service does. It is important also that the general public, and especially our younger people, have an understanding of the world around them and of the animals and nature which are to be found in the National Park here in Glenveagh. I believe this family fun weekend is a wonderful idea and I would like to wish everyone involved the best of luck.”
