24/11/2013 – €6,273 sanctioned by Minister of State for the Gaeltacht, Dinny McGinley T.D., for Comharchumann Ráth Chairn

Minister of State at the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Dinny McGinley, has announced that he has sanctioned a grant of€6,273 for Comharchumann Ráth Chairn, Co Meath, to install a cabin on the gleoiteog (small sailing boat) Banríon na Bóinne.

Announcing the grant, Minister of State McGinley said: “This project will add to the respect and understanding the people of Ráth Chairn have for the traditions practised by their forbears who first came from the west – the traditions of the sea, of the boats and, of course, of the Irish language – which is still very much alive in the Meath Gaeltacht.”
