Papers released under FOI in relation to the Yeats Family Auction September 2017.

  • All records relating to the provision of funding to the National Library of Ireland and National Museum of Ireland to assist with the purchase of items in the “Yeats Family Collection”, earmarked for auction in London by Sotheby’s. (The items come from Cliff House, Coliemore Road, Dalkey, Co Dublin, the former home of WB Yeats’s son, Michael.) (Additional Note: This FoI request relates to any items acquired from the ‘Yeats Family Collection’, including any that were specifically agreed not to be included in the Sotheby’s sale.)
  • Access to any correspondence relating to the Yeats Family Collection auction at Sotheby’s received or sent by the department including correspondence with other arts bodies (i.e. the National Museum, National Gallery etc.) and correspondence with the Yeats family and/or the auctioneers
