€169,000 grant sanctioned by Minister of State McHugh for Cumann Peile Naomh Abán, Co. Cork
Joe McHugh T.D., Government Chief Whip and Minister of State for the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands, announced today that he has sanctioned a grant of up to €169,000 for Cumann Peile Naomh Abán, to help with the building at Páirc Íosagáin, Baile Bhuirne.
Making the announcement, the Minister of State said that he was very pleased to provide this grant. “Cumann Peile Naomh Abán is a very active club and it’s important that facilities such as this are available in Gaeltacht areas in order to ensure that the people of the area, especially young people, have the opportunity to preserve and promote the Irish Language.”
This grant is being sanctioned under the Gaeltacht action of the 20-Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030.
