€2,635 sanctioned by Minister of State McHugh for Forbairt Fhánada
Minister of State for Gaeltacht Affairs, Joe McHugh, T.D., today (1 October 2015) announced that he has sanctioned a grant of €2,635 (70% of the cost) to enable Forbairt Fhánada to finish off the apartments located at Fánaid lighthouse.
Announcing the grant, the Minister of State said that the committee is doing a wonderful job to promote tourism with this large development that they have carried out with grant assistance from the INTERREG Programme in association with the County Council, Fáilte Ireland and the Commissioners of Irish Lights.
“This development will undoubtedly attract thousands of tourists to the area to visit the lighthouse which is located at the start of the Wild Atlantic Way. This will help to develop businesses in the area and will also develop new businesses. I am pleased to approve this grant,” the Minister said.
