Grant of € 55,457 approved by Minister of State McHugh for Comharchumann Mhic Dara Teo. to provide a Diving Centre

Joe McHugh TD, the Government Chief Whip and Minister of State for the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands announced today, 14 May 2018, that he has approved a €55,457 grant for Comharchumann Mhic Dara Teo. to enable them to provide a Diving Centre.

Announcing the grant, the Minister of State stated that he was satisfied that he was able to assist the Cooperative to complete this proposal. “An Cheathrú Rua – Trá an Dóilín – has a distinctive coral beach and this is an opportunity for the Cooperative to utilise this natural resource in the area. The venue will serve the local community, the diving club, the tourism sector and the Irish summer colleges.”

The grant is being approved under the An Ghaeltacht action as part of ​​the 20 Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030.
