Grant of €3,360 approved by Minister of State McHugh for a Boating and Sailing Club, An Cheathrún Rua, Co. Galway, to put an external engine on a lifeboat
Joe McHugh T.D., Government Chief Whip and Minister of State for the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands, announced today, 9 May 2018, that he has sanctioned a grant of €3,360 for Chumann Bádóireachta agus Seoltóireachta to enable them to put an external engine on a lifeboat.
Announcing the grant, Minister of State McHugh said that he was pleased to be in a position to help the Committee in delivering this project. “The external engine is the most important aspect regarding the renewal of the lifeboat. Certainly in terms of safety, this proposal is of particular significance.”
This grant is being sanctioned under the Gaeltacht action of the 20-Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030.
