Temporary Information Officer/Guide, Killarney National Park
The National Parks and Wildlife Service of the Department of Arts, Heritage Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs is looking for enthusiastic people for the coming 2016 visitor season.
Duties will include working at Muckross House and will include leading guided tours of the House, providing information to visitors and helping in other programmes and events.
Experience relevant to the above, including experience in teaching, presenting to groups and the use of computer applications is essential.
These are temporary positions which may arise in 2016. These positions will be located at Muckross House, Killarney National Park. Staff will be required to work up to 39 hours per week, rostered five days over seven which may include weekends and bank holidays.
The current indicative pay scale for these positions is €419.29 per week before tax. The rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy.
The appointees will be chosen by competitive interview. A panel of suitable candidates may also be formed should any additional vacancies arise in the foreseeable future.
