The National Parks and Wildlife Service of the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following position:
- Temporary Rural General Operative (Band 3)
This is a temporary seasonal role based in:
- Killarney National Park
Staff will be required to work 39 hours per week, rostered five days over seven, which may include weekends and bank holidays.
The weekly salary of a Rural GO Band 3 (before tax) is as follows (1st January 2020 rates):
Personal Pension Contribution (PPC)
€548.52, €581.05, €601.23, €611.44, €618.58, €628.74, €638.91, €642.86, €652.90
Non Personal Pension Contribution (Non PPC)
€522.27, €553.62, €578.04, €588.10, €592.26, €602.03, €611.75, €618.38, €628.02
The rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy.
Appointees will be chosen by competitive interview. A panel of suitable candidates may also be formed should any additional vacancies arise in the foreseeable future.
Experience relevant to the above post, including a full, clean category B driving licence, general maintenance work and the use of machinery is essential.
