Minister of State McHugh sanctions grant of €5,480 for Mná Cois Farraige, Co. Donegal, to gather placenames and to preserve them on a map
Joe McHugh T.D., Government Chief Whip and Minister of State for the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands, announced today (8 December) that he has sanctioned a grant of up to €5,480 for Mná Cois Farraige to help them gather placenames and preserve them on a map.
Making the announcement, the Minister of State said that he was very pleased to provide this grant. “I am pleased to assist this wonderful committee with the voluntary work they do in order to preserve this valuable heritage for future generations.”
This grant is being sanctioned under the Gaeltacht action of the 20-Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030.
