Minister of State McHugh sanctions operational grant of €805 for Comhchoiste Ghaeltacht Uíbh Ráthaigh for an intensive Irish-language course

Joe McHugh T.D.,  Government Chief Whip and Minister of State for the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands, announced today (8 December) that he has sanctioned a grant of up to €805 for Comhchoiste Ghaeltacht Uíbh Ráthaigh for an intensive Irish-language course that was run in the All-Irish Unit in Coláiste na Sceilge this year.

The Minister of State said: “Comhchoiste Ghaeltacht Uíbh Ráthaigh have been doing valuable work for many years, with the annual assistance of my Department, to preserve and foster the Irish Language as a community and household language on the Uíbh Ráthach peninsula.

This grant is being sanctioned under the Gaeltacht action area of the 20-Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030.
