Minister of State Kyne has said he is very pleased to make this announcement.  “Today’s announcement regarding the provision of assistance towards implementing minor works on the islands shows that the Government is committed to providing resources in order to improve infrastructure on the islands when those resources are available,” the Minister said.

He also announced that the ferry and bus service to Inis Bigil, which has been in effect since the beginning of this month, has been extended by 6 months, after which a long-term contract will be implemented.
