Placenames Order (County Carlow)
The Placenames Committee (An Coiste Logainmneacha) intends to advise the Minister of State for Gaeltacht Affairs, Joe McHugh, T.D., to declare by order the Irish language version of the placenames of County Carlow.
Before giving its advice, the Committee wishes to receive recommendations from the public regarding the draft order, including the Irish versions. The Committee is publishing a draft of the proposed order so that the public has an opportunity to study it.

The Irish versions in the draft order are based on the work of the Placenames Branch in the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. The recommendations will be considered in advance of advice being provided to the Minister of State with regard to the placenames order.
