Statement from Minister of State Joe McHugh in relation to the ferry service to Inishmore.

In a statement released today, Joe McHugh T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, said that a productive meeting had taken place this morning between officials from his Department and Island Ferries, the company providing a ferry service to Inishmore. The Minister of State said he now hopes that service will continue after the end of January 2016.  “I am now satisfied that my Department, in cooperation with all other parties and in particular the ferry company, can ensure the provision of a ferry service to the community of Inishmore”, said the Minister of State.
